Volume 7 Issue 9 September 2005
Dear
Members,
In the past I have chosen not to comment on the following topic, but recent conversations with some members of the Society demand that I make a statement now. It is apparent that a person or persons is making inaccurate statements and providing misleading or false information about the Society and some of the members to any one, member or not, in the public sector. I can assure you that the principles the Society was founded on remain the primary goals. I would be more than happy to visit with any member that might have questions about anything they may have heard or wonder about their feelings about the Society. I will provide you accurate and true information and let you decide on your own what you will choose to believe. I also hope you will come to the meetings and see us in action as we strive to promote Celtic heritage.
On a lighter note the folks from String Thaw have
been talking to us about some Celtic themed events that members of the arts
community are working on. As soon as concrete plans are laid we will let you
know by e-mail or newsletter. Some of the ideas we have heard sound like a lot
of fun for anyone that likes Celtic music, dance, and entertainment.
We are still looking for a board member to take
Carole’s place since she agreed to take the treasurer position. If you are
interested please let us know or come to the general membership meeting.
The
general membership meeting is this Thursday, September 15th, 7:00 PM
at the TREA building at the corner of
Your President,
Bill
